Open Source Awards

Open Source Awards Nomination 2009

Please use the form below to nominate yourself, your organisation or a project for the Scottish Open Source Awards.  Your nomination shouldn't be particularly lengthy or technical.  It is important that the judges can clearly see the significance and benefits of the work, rather than the underlying detail.  Aim to tell a brief, compelling story rather than being word perfect. You can upload supporting files in doc, odt and pdf.

  1. Assume the judges have no prior Knowledge of the work.

  2. Begin by outlining the concepts (eg the XYZ Project enabled..., Product j was used to..., Person F has...).

  3. Explain how open source was involved (eg the project was open sourced, we contributed the following back to the core project, we replaced system x with an open source solution).

  4. Finally why you think the nominee should receive the award (eg it enabled several organisations to benefit..., Person D makes consistently valuable contributions to...we demonstrated....)
